Kershaw County Schools make progress in tough times

The past few years have been tough ones for school districts in South Carolina including the Kershaw County School District. But Dr. Frank Morgan, school superintendent says even with smaller budgets and reduced funding school in Kershaw County have continued to make progress.  Morgan pointed to Camden High recently winning the Palmetto’s Finest award and to the number of Palmetto Gold and Silver awards won by schools in Kershaw County.  Morgan also said that the district has turned in the highest scores ever on the ACT and that the graduation rate continues to go up while the drop out rate is going down.  Morgan credited district teachers, administrators and employees for the positive results during tough economic times.
