CHS Tennis Courts Renamed in Honor of Coach Smoak

Monday afternoon ceremonies renaming the tennis courts at Camden High in honor of long time tennis coach Roger Smoak took place.  Smoak has coached tennis at Camden High for over 40 years and has over 590 wins as head coach of the boys teams, the most in South Carolina.  In 1991 his boys team were the AAA state champions.  In 1978 the Bulldogs were 4A Lower State champions and in 1980 and 2010 the boys teams were AAA Upper State champions.  In 1987 his girls team won the AAA Lower State championship.  Camden High principal Dan Matthews saying that in his career Smoak has done things the right way.  Smoak credited his teams and supporters of Camden High tennis for his many years of success.
