Camden City Council Aprroves Purchase of Clock Tower Building on Broad

Camden City Council at their most recent meeting passed second and final reading of the ordinance authorizing the city to purchase the building at 950 Broad Street which currently houses the Bargain Basket.  The city owns the clock tower which is part of the building.  Camden city manager Mel Pearson says plans are to use the building for a function which will enhance tourism in Camden.  The measure passed with a unanimous vote.
