The KershawHealth board of trustees during a special meeting Thursday evening voted to engage a new law firm to represent kershaw county’s health care system. The vote to hire the Parker Poe firm, a large Southeastern law firm was unanimous. Previously KershawHealth had been represented by the Nexsen Pruet firm. There were three firms vying to represent KershawHealth: Nelson Mullins, Nexsen Pruet and Parker Poe. The vote authorizing KershawHealth C.E.O. Terry Gunn to negotiate a contract with Parker Poe was unanimous.
