“A Night to Remember” dinner and dance for special needs students Friday

Last year, Lugoff-Elgin High School (LEHS) hosted a prom for special needs students that was planned by other LEHS students. This year, the celebration is being held in conjunction with Valentine’s Day.

Sponsored by the school’s Be A Fan Club, “A Night to Remember” will include a sit down dinner along with a dance for special education and regular education students on Friday, Feb. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

“Last year, more than 100 students attended the prom and had a great time,” said LEHS teacher Kathy Ross.  “This year, we wanted to include a dinner as part of the festivities.  We are also fortunate to have the support of Friendship Baptist Church members to make this possible.”

LEHS is located at 1284 Highway 1 South in Lugoff.  The dinner and dance will be held in the annex cafeteria and gym located on part of the campus close to Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.
