Central Carolina Tech Hosting “Kershaw Discovery Day” July 25th

This drop-in, hands-on nature event for children and families (ages 0–12) will feature messy, sensory-rich trail stations such as nature print-making, a mud kitchen, a bug exploration station, a nature scavenger hunt, colorful trail soakers, salt dough animal tracks and so much more! Dress for a mess! Twist & Sip Lemonade and the Big Dill Grill will be on hand as well. Join us as we kick off summer reading right.

It’s time to kick off summer with food, fellowship, and music at Springvale Baptist Church in Lugoff! Join them Saturday, May 30th at 4 p.m. for a church-wide BBQ and singing featuring The Masters 3 in concert. The outdoor concert begins at 4 — and if it rains, the event moves inside. Bring a lawn chair, your appetite, family and friends, plus a churn of homemade ice cream to share. Springvale Baptist Church is located at 1496 Springvale Road in Lugoff. A love offering will be collected.

Kershaw County Ministries is serving up fun for a great cause with the first-ever “Pickle Me This!” Pickleball Mixer Saturday, May 30th at the Camden Tennis Center. The fundraiser supports KCSM’s “Release Time” program, offering Bible-based education opportunities for middle and high school students. Players ages 14 and up of all skill levels are welcome. Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m. with games from 9 until 11. No partner is needed, and food, drinks, prizes, and limited paddle rentals will be available. Registration is 25 dollars per person. Sponsored by Merrill Lynch Kohn-Spring Group. Sign up by May 25th.
